As I mentioned on last week's episode of Defend the Block, Michigan men's basketball,

hosted its annual local media day, separate from the Big Ten's Media Day up in Minneapolis,

allowing some local reporters, writers to come out and talk a little basketball,

get to know the team, see part of an open practice in advance of the season,

which hard to believe, folks, it is two weeks away.

The regular season opener is getting here soon.

But I like to take a little bit of a different twist on Media Day because the way that the event

is lined up, basically every player is available at a bunch of tables inside Chrysler Center

and reporters, writers come by, ask questions.

Of course, the vast majority of them are about basketball, about their work in the offseason,

about what to expect from the upcoming team.

I want to give you a little bit of an opportunity to get to know the players beyond basketball.

So I got as many players as I could.

I didn't get everybody because, well, there were some popular individuals during this event.

Doug McDaniel is someone who is pegged to be a potential breakout star in the Big Ten.

Didn't get a chance to catch up with him.

T. Will. Terrence Williams II, one of my absolute favorites as well.

He's adjusted his shot.

He's improved offensively. That was a pretty important and a pretty busy topic for him at the event.

Didn't get T. Will for this. But I got most of the players and I hope you get a chance to enjoy

some different questions, some fun questions, an opportunity for these individuals to show who

they are away from the court.
