In the non-conference slate, Michigan women's basketball saved its best for last.

The Wolverines knocked off a top 10 team in that team's home state before a road-like atmosphere on Tuesday night in Charlotte,

thus capping an outstanding 10-1 non-conference slate and heading into the holiday break with an 11 and one record overall.

And make no mistake, sure, it was a 7668 win for the Wolverines over North Carolina,

but that is not indicative, the score that is, of what Michigan did.

The Wolverines dominated this thing almost the entire way.

There were a few times where the tar heels got the

crowd into it, but the Wolverine stymied the momentum almost instantly every time. And it started

for Michigan right out of the gates. Michigan, after one quarter, led 35 to 20. Their most

points ever in a quarter.

Now, the quarters haven't been around for a whole lot of time, but to do that against

the top 10 team, pretty darn impressive.

And they were Uber efficient.

Two Wolverines, Leah Brown and Lay Lafelia, were in double figures after one quarter.

Brown, 13 points, 4 of 4 from the field,

3 of 3 from downtown, and Layla Phelia, 11 points. She was 4 of 5 shooting.
