| 1:18.6 | an apologetic for the goodness of God because I believe our neighbors are struggling with whether |
| 1:23.8 | God is good more so than whether God is true. Or maybe a better way to say that |

| 1:38.0 | the most controversial, one of them all. There are many Christian ethics that our world still agrees with. |
| 1:46.0 | We don't think it is wrong that God condemns murder, stealing, lying. |
| 1:50.6 | These we accept as uncontroversial ethics, and the fact that God declares them to be sinful does not cause us to question God's goodness. |
| 2:00.3 | But the moment the ethics of Christianity enters the bedroom, |
| 2:05.8 | as soon as we venture into the arena of human sexuality, |
| 2:09.5 | we run into a major obstacle. |
| 2:12.2 | Simply put, a God who makes ethical demands |
| 2:15.2 | that threatens my sexual and gender expression, freedom, |
| 2:19.7 | enjoyment, and so forth cannot be a good God. |
