The premise of this series is that our neighbors are not wrestling with intellectual objections to the Christian faith as

much as ethical objections, meaning the classic philosophical what philosophers call defeater

beliefs that call into question the truth of God.

Though those are still significant, they have become less significant than what I'm

calling defeater ethics, which call into question the goodness of God. And the goodness of God

objections that we have been discussing recently are less about God himself and more about the

ethical failures of Christians that people understandably then hold against Christianity.

So, for example, in the last podcast, we discussed the crisis of church abuse that people are wrestling with.
