Hey folks, Aaron here. Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lour, a bonus episode that's

designed to serve as a topical guide to the most recent episode of lore. In this short bonus

episode, I'm going to dig into our archive of 11 years of topics and point out some old

episodes that fit well with this week's newest. The hope is that you can keep the spooky

feeling going well into the weekend, putting a handful of old episodes into a new, more

powerful context. So, let's get started, shall we? This week for episode 305, botched, we

examined the horrifying history of capital punishment in America, and how various methods of execution

led to accidents that have embedded themselves into our collective folklore. But it's not the

first time we've discussed stories from the world of crime and punishment. So here are three

older episodes that should pair up nicely with this week's new one. First up, episode 42 In the Bag.

This was our very first prison episode, focusing on the history, failings, and ghostly echoes

of Eastern State Penitentiary.

Resembling a Gothic castle from the outside, this prison delivered some pretty

dark events that have left their mark.

for sure, but the dent they left on the universe has a different sort of shape.
