designed to serve as a topical guide to the most recent episode of lore. Oh, and speaking of going

deeper, did you hear the news that I announced just a couple of weeks ago? I have a new history

book coming out. It's brand new stories covering the tale of Mercy Brown from the very first episode of

lore and the entire New England vampire panic and exploring it through the lens of some pretty

amazing social, historical, medical, and philosophical ideas. The main idea of the book is to

answer the question, why did they think that it would work in the first place? And I've been working on this thing for a very long time. The book is called Exhumed, and it comes out on August 4th of this year. In this short bonus episode, I'm going to dig into our vast

tenure archive and point out some old episodes that fit in well thematically with this week's

newest episode. The hope is that maybe you can keep this spooky feeling going well into the weekend,

putting a handful of episodes into a new and maybe more powerful context.
