My own personal journey began because by training I'm a physician, and I trained in internal

medicine, and I trained in endocrinology, and I trained in neuroendocrinology, which is

the study of brain chemicals.

And when I was taking my training a long time ago, it became obvious to me, and to many

scientists who were doing the same kind of training that I was, that there is a way

that consciousness transforms itself into matter.

In the 1970s, scientists were making some extraordinary discoveries in the area of brain

chemicals.

And these brain chemicals, when they were first discovered, they were called neuropeptides,

because they were found in the brain and they're protein-like molecules or peptides.

So it became obvious to scientists that wherever a thought goes, a molecule goes with it.

And so when these molecules were first discovered, they were called neuropeptides.

It was then found that there were receptors to these neuropeptides in other parts of the
