Well, I'm really excited to present to you today a brand new exclusive series that we've created here to Venture Rider Radio called Deep Trouble.

Deep Trouble is about that underlying framework that really fuels adventure, the framework that is essentially the possibility

that something could go wrong because if there was no risk there would be no

edge, no thrill, no excitement. And although we don't really want to experience something going

wrong for ourselves, the fact that it's possible, even remotely, is what fuels

adventure. And for some more than others, a rider could be thrilled by making it through a muddy section,

up a rocky hill, through a river, knowing that the result could be getting stuck,

breaking the bike or sucking water into the engine. No one wants that. But nothing beats the satisfaction

you get from making it through a tough section. For another rider, it's crossing foreign

borders, riding far from home, dealing with languages and customs they don't

yet understand, and exploring new and far-off places.

We riders are a modern type of adventure out there exposed to the elements, rider and machine.

Of course we don't want to drop our bike in the river and get stuck in some remote place in another country

or held up at a border, but it's kind of like walking out on a high cliff

overlooking a vast valley. The thrill that you get just by approaching it, the

sensation that the edge is near, not just the thrill of danger, but it's only when you get

close to that edge that you're able to see the Vista beyond. It's adventure, like

riding a motorcycle. And with deep trouble, we'll explore captivating stories of riders who found themselves in deep trouble.

We'll dissect these situations, shedding light on the challenges they face, the strategies they use, the valuable lessons they learned,

most critically, we'll discuss how the situation could have turned out differently

if some of the controlled aspects were changed.
