It's difficult to overstate how important this opinion is

because of this question of what's sometimes called the fourth branch of government

this new sort of entity of or collection of federal agencies that rivals the authority of Congress

and even the executive branch where it's held

and here the court really drew a very clear line

that these major questions need to be answered by Congress

So yeah, so we're talking about the big ruling that came down yesterday

where the Supreme Court said no the EPA doesn't get to do whatever they want

this is a job for Congress around climate change or really anything else

and it you know expand it to other agencies

Hey Congress why don't you write laws instead of just passing it off the agencies

and then they do whatever they want

and some of the fallout on it is pretty darn interesting

and we're going to get to that in a second

but like I'm looking at the Washington Post, they've got two opinion pieces today

one of them is from Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Eugene Robinson

who is a lefty the planet is baking

but what's reality to this Supreme Court
