Hello, hello everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Fluently Ford. Today we are doing

yet another deep dive and we're doing it on Lord because her latest album, her fourth album,

titled Virgin, came out this week and there's just, there's some lore on Lord. We're going to be

talking, of course, about some blind items on her. The infamous PowerPoint

detailing how maybe Lord and Jack Antonoff could have had an affair when they were both working

on melodrama together and living in his shared apartment with Lena Dunham. We're going to get

all into that. Industry plant allegations. And of course, just a little bit about her, because the more I looked

into Lord, first of all, my heart kind of breaks for her when we talk about the dating section.

I've always known that Lord was a young up-and-comer, and I believe she's 28 now. The men that she

has dated need to go to jail. Like, I don't know how else to say it in a nice way.

But anyway, we are going to cover all of that. For anyone who hasn't been kept abreast of

Lord, with her new album out, there's a few different themes that she's kind of talking about.

One is always going to be drug use. Okay. Her first album was

called Pure Heroin. And she always has these references, you know, summer slipped us underneath its

tongue. I mean, I'm just assuming that's acid, but whatever. Rolling, dancing with my, you know,

dancing, rolling my face off. MDMA in your backguard and blow the

pupils up, okay? I mean, that one isn't even a metaphor. She's just like, I'm taking Molly.

I also think, too, in the first album, now when I go back and re-listen to it, I'm like, oh, that line,

you buy me orange juice, because it's a Molly come down. I'm guessing that they party in New Zealand because I think I was in the New Zealand subreddit or the Lord one. And people were like, yeah, it's like not a big deal. We party young over here. Okay, euphoria. Okay, Kiwi, euphoria. Anyway, it was just interesting because as I've been listening to Lord's newest and

oldest stuff, I'm thinking about the song, Girl, so confusing was Charlie X-CX? And I'm like,

yeah, of course Charlie would invite Lord to come out with her because Lord can't stop singing

about uppers, you know? I'm assuming Charlie heard all of this. And she was like, yeah,

...
