The subject of my investigation is the tragic murder of Keith Canero and his entire family.

Shot and killed.

The children stabbed. And prosecutors say it was Keith's own brother

who did it. Here's the story.

In the early morning darkness of November 20th, 2018, a multimillion dollar New Jersey mansion

stood quietly in horse country, in

cult's neck, until it erupted in flames and horror. Inside were the charred bodies of Keith

Canero, his wife, Jennifer Canero, and their two young children found dead after the fire consumed

their home. Authorities say Keith was shot outside the house.

His wife shot and stabbed inside the home,

and their children brutally stabbed and murdered

all before any flames touched wood.

Prosecutors say hours earlier, his brother Paul Canero allegedly set fire to his

own home in a nearby town, a rushed blaze prosecutors argue was a ruse to mask the real atrocity.

Today, Canaro back in court facing first-degree murder, aggravated arson, and weapons charges, while a peaceful community struggles to grasp how greed and betrayal allegedly extinguished a whole family.

And a big question from the beginning of this case, the beginning of the story is what exactly

was going on between Keith and Paul?
