How are you doing today? Doing well. It's final season at USC and moving out of my apartment. But no, I'm excited to talk about this point in the year where every

game certainly matters and it's been a while no midweek game to talk about this week but you know

i had a had a big non-conference week to talk about from last week yeah we go one extra day and it

just feels like it's been that that much longer and because USC did play on Thursday Friday

Saturday last week seems like it's a long time since they played. It's only been a couple of days. But a huge week coming up for the Trojans, we're going to break all that down in a little bit. But for any newcomers listening to their first episode here on the Data Download podcast, which is a part of the Peristyle podcast, family shows, we break down all the latest news and developments with the USC baseball program. And we've got a ton to break down this week because the Trojans keep on rolling.

USC has a big one as they will go on the road to Eugene to play Oregon

in a series that could determine a host, one of the 16 host spots in the country. So we'll see how that kind of plays out. But as always, we appreciate you guys taking the time to listen. This week on the day to download, we look at USC sweep in Nevada, as well as beating Cal State Fullerton and the midweek. we'll also be taking a look forward at the trojans huge series upcoming at oregon to close out the regular season yeah that's going to be a really fun one looking forward to dissecting it all with you casey but this week going to do a little bit different we've got an interview in the second half of the episode we're going to have Andrew lamb expecting to join us's at practice right now, so we're getting him a little bit later than we normally would just because there's no midweek this week because the schedule is a little bit off with finals and everything. We're trying to be extra receptive of that because it is such a big part of the season for not only these players, but their players' future as they try to get their degrees as well as get some wins and stuff. So we're going to do that in the second half of the show. Right now, we're going to jump into our recap of last week's action and then do our, with our quick rundown, then we'll do our three-up, three-down segment. Last week, USC goes 4 and 0, as you mentioned. they go to Cal State, or excuse me, they host Cal State Fullerton beat up on the Titans, 13 to 4.

Then they host Cal State

Fullerton beat up on the Titans, 13 to 4.

Then they host Nevada for three games starting on Thursday, a little bit of a short week.

You wonder, okay, how are the pitchers going to be affected by this?

They were not affected by it, and the bass just kept on rolling.

USC wins the opener of the series, 8-0 behind Mason Edwards,

once again being Mason Edwards, just absolutely brilliant once more, even though USC didn't push him

too far. When only 94 pitches, six innings, four hits, no runs, one walk, 10-Ks, could have

probably won another inning, two innings if it was a really big matchup instead.

They go to the bullpen, get through that with the shutout, getting their ninth shutout

of the season.

Another feat for them that they haven't done in a while.
