Monte Mader grew up in a Christian Nationalist family where indoctrination and abuse were ever-present. I became a fan of her powerful voice as she eviscerated the lies of Christian Dominionism, Christian Nationalism, and the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) using her knowledge of scripture and Christian ideologies. She has over a million followers on Instagram as a “former alt-right Christian nationalist,” sharing her artistic talent and complex views to dispel widely believed radical Republican doctrine. She brings this knowledge forward and finds ways to bridge communications from her upbringing within a controlling but also highly influential alt-right family from Wyoming. She now shares the deconstruction of her childhood and aspects of her healing journey in several venues, including a new memoir she’s working on. Her experiences are also reflected in her music as a “Rocky Mountain rock artist” living in Nashville, Tennessee. She writes songs and performs with her band, The Big Sky. 1:04.5	And so I was just so impressed with your clarity of mind and your values and how much you've
1:13.1	deconstructed your own upbringing which I'll get into in a minute and I'll just say
1:20.4	that you were born and raised in a cattle ranch in Wyoming and a very strict fundamentalist family and your father made you memorize scripture
1:33.0	and you were a very good girl because you're darn good. You went to Liberty University.
1:39.7	I interviewed a number of graduates of Liberty University who have woken up and come out the other side.
1:47.9	But then I started checking you out, and you are an incredible artist, musician, songwriter.

1:58.5	But the focus of this talk for my audience is really what's happening
2:04.0	in America and around the world, taking scriptures out of context with these warped, you know,
2:12.1	values that has nothing to do with Jesus in the New Testament or the Old Testament.
