Hello everyone, Heaton here.

Before we jump into today's very funny installment of Friday release valve,

I want to give a very big personal thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Heaton

California Disaster Relief Fund in the wake of the robbery.

Getting Rob stinks from top to bottom.

It's expensive, it's a horrible feeling, and once you get past the holiness and vulnerability and looking at the

the numbers and your credit card statement at that point it's still just a giant hassle.

But seeing the outpouring of support,

roll in from listeners who sent me contributions

to help buy a new laptop and microphones and equipment was truly a bright spot in my week.

So if you're one of the folks who kindly forwarded me money through PayPal or Venmo,

I want you to know, I really appreciate it.

And for such an irritating and expensive setback

as the robbery was, it was incredibly uplifting

and comforting and even a little surprising to have all of you rally around me like

Jimmy Stewart at the end of that Christmas movie where he makes friends with a magical

hobo.

Clarence, Clarence, no man with friends and podcast supporters is a failure, even if he lives in

a 13-foot fiberglass camper at his 30s.
