podcast we recap every episode of Westworld and this week will be recapping season

We have a special treat for you today. What we're going to be doing today is in addition to doing a recap as usual on Decoding Westworld, we're going to be interviewing Charles U, the famous Taiwanese American writer who actually is a co writer on this week's

episode of Westworld. So should be a lot of fun. You're going to hear our normal

recap episode and then an interview with Charles Yu and so we are very much looking forward to that.

We're also doing this all in real time, so we are actually going to be speaking to him

right after we do our recap and hopefully nothing goes wrong in this entire process.

But yeah, so that's what is in store for today.

So why don't we just dive straight into this week's episode entitled Trace Decay.

This week picks up right where last week left off.

We see Ford talking to Bernard and Bernard is kind of struggling with what he's just done.

And Ford does the thing that the technicians do where they ask him to shut off their emotions

which is really creepy when you see Bernard do it because we've seen him as human

or you know under the impression that he's human and so it's a great moment they chat about the nature of man and bots and

Ford says things about what Arnold wanted and had faith in and then also talked about what Bernard's purpose was.

Like Bernard's purpose was to help make the robots seem more human, right?
