We're getting into the thick of transfer season and things are getting very exciting.

IRL channel on YouTube. So Mike, what stood out for you in the conversation? I really enjoyed

the conversation about how West Ham will and should use their Declan Rice cash to improve their

squad. We've seen in the past that just because you get an injection of money, it doesn't mean

it's always spent the right way. Look at Spurs after selling bail, Liverpool with Suarez. So I found that conversation really interesting to kind of see and foreshadow what West Ham will do. Yeah, and I think another theme that came through quite a bit was this idea that managers now seem to be bringing in players who are going to cover a few different positions. We're going to see squad rotation become a much bigger thing, I think, in elite football. And so that means that there's been quite a few transfers this summer where people have been a little bit curious about how they're going to fit in. So we talked about Mason Mount from that respect, and we also talked about Kai Haberts as well. So plenty of things for us to get our ears around in this week's episode. And as was the

john what about you yeah so i've gone for Mason Mount because I think

Mason Mount is maybe a player. I think everyone knows quite well, quite a divisive player as well.

There's a lot of people who don't think he's very good and a lot of people who think he's very good

and there's, I suppose, a big chasm between those two assessments. But also, it feels to me like a transfer that's interesting

because it doesn't really seem to fit into what it was that we were saying that Manchester United
