Summary

Hello our little spirits!!! This book was a sweet, light, cozy holiday vibe (and super quick/ easy read!) that almost didn't make it to the pod. Listen to Caitlin's least favorite Romcom trope that almost made her end the book at the very beginning but the character that made her completely U-Turn into being high-key obsessed. "Give it a Pulitzer" she says! We discussed other books we like if you enjoyed this one too! Be sure to join our broadcast channel for book club on Caitlin's page- @wilderbeginnings We love you so much! Happy Holidays!!! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This book is so bad. I am so scared by my reaction to this book. Like, I'm obviously pregnant, so my hormones are, you know, off the walls. Yeah. But Rachel is correct. I started this book and I read the first chapter and I texted Rachel. I said, I don't think I can do this. This is so bad. And we like picked another book that we were going to suggest. Yes, we picked another book we were going to suggest. And I was like, just give me, let me read a little bit more tonight. And then I'll tell you officially tomorrow. And it's because there was one line, they were talking where this girl was like, I tossed my curls back into a loose ponytail. And I'm like, no one thinks that way.

1:29.7

No one says I tossed. I mean, I was sending this to Rachel in all caps. I was losing my mind.

Why does it always have to be like wild? It's always, yeah, no, it's always like wild hair.

2:06.1

It's always curly hair. Second trope is they are always doing a job in like an antique store, a child's toy store that's like some kitchy cute job.

2:15.8

That would never make them money in real life.

2:18.0

It would never.
