the White House to head to Trump's reelection campaign. Stepion is the White House political director

and Clark runs the office of public liaison. Both will be senior political advisors to the campaign.

Ben Howard starts today at the White House as deputy assistant to the president for legislative affairs.

Howard will be the top liaison between the White House and the House, both Republicans and Democrats.

This is obviously an extremely big job as the White House girds for both investigations

and legislating with a Democratic majority.

Howard is a vet of Capitol Hill.

He's worked for both Kevin McCarthy, and most recently, he's been floor director for Steve Scalise.

Nancy Cook is up with a piece looking at how the president's advisors are concerned about a

possible recession with his 2020 bid looming.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is up with an op-ed in the Washington Post calling for an

infrastructure package that also includes climate change policies.

Schumer also sent a letter to the president going into more detail about specific steps he'd

like to see.

David Valadeo conceded his race in California.

That means Democrats have won 40 seats in the House of Representatives, a historic pickup,

and Kevin McCarthy's California delegation is down to six Republicans.
