Again, so there's been take movement, which means, again, was an implication that we were not exactly correct in a first statement,

0:19.8

and so we've had to move off our initial position that has happened here on the Felgar and Mass program. Do you care to detail it, Anthony? Yes, I care to detail it. Early in the year when Gordon Hayward went down, I told you I had serious concerns about how it was going to affect this team. I think I might have gone so far as to say that they would win like 43 games. You think you said that? Something like that. Yeah. Something like that. Somewhere around 43 games, which clearly, I mean, they're already halfway there for crying out of out. They're 21 and 4, which clearly was low, okay? They could go 500 the rest of the year. I think you're a little low there. I was clearly low in terms of the victory total. I was obviously low. So they're going to win more than 43 games. Good job by Vin on NBC Sports Boston. I was mistaken. Okay? I was mistaken about how it would affect them. I didn't love how they looked in the early part and they clearly turned it around and Kyrie's better than I thought. And when you say early part, you mean like the first two games?

1:12.0

Yep, two games.

1:12.7

I mean, really early part. Yep, two games. You tank the Bruins season after four. I was ready to bury the Celtics after two. It was pretty much out and down if you wanted to know the truth. That's accurate. So I admit, I was low. They're better than I thought. Irving has had a more profound impact

1:27.0

in terms of improving other players,

1:29.8

you know, making other're better than I thought. Irving has had a more profound impact in terms of improving other players, you know, making other guys better than I thought. And then the big thing is the rookies, particularly Tatum, who just is off the charts good as a rookie. Unbelievably consistent for the most part. A blip here and there, but even the bad games, he's giving you something at the end like so so i was wrong no two ways

1:45.0

about it i was wrong and you start looking at it now and you know you say well they could finish

1:51.1

with the best record in the east number one seed in the east there's some good teams in the west

1:55.9

but steph curry just went down the rockets are obviously good but the west is loaded So they're all playing each other is what you're... Right. I mean, you know, these teams are going to see each other, whether it's Houston, Golden State, San Antonio. You know, Denver is a better team now. You know, I still think, you know, Utah's half decent, like even without Hayward. But, you know, there's some teams there that we're going to give

2:17.7

clubs some problems.

2:20.0

I don't think it's out of the realm of past possibility you finish the season with the

2:23.1

best record in the league.

2:24.1

What's the Celtics record over the best team of the West?

2:28.9

Oh, well, 21 and 4 is the Celtics.

2:32.0

Houston's 18 and 4.

2:33.6

Okay.

2:34.1

Golden State's got six losses. Game and a half. So look, it's probably unlikely still. Okay, it's probably unlikely. Unlikely that they have the best record in the NBA? Yeah, because I think Golden State even, you know, I give it a 50-50 shot. Durant, Thompson, Draymond Green, Golden State's still going to win over 60 plus. I don't think it's unlikely. I think it's a real possibility. That the Celtics end up with the best record in the way. I almost worry more about Cleveland than I would for those teams out west. I mean, you just said it. Curry's out for two months and those teams in the Westerners and knock each other off. See, I just think Golden State's talent is so good they can still win 65 games. Like, you know, and I don't know if the Celtics can get to 65. Maybe they can. But if they, you know, I don't think it's out of the wrong possibility now that they get 60. And on top of it, on top of all of that, have you watched where the Lakers are? Have you seen where the Lakers are lately? Yes, I've noticed. I think they've lost five straight, six straight. Okay, so the Lakers now have the seventh worst record in the league, but more importantly, they are tied for the fourth fewest wins. They have eight wins. They're only a handful of teams that have fewer. Sacramento, Dallas. Dallas is up to seven, and they're in here tonight, and then Atlanta and Chicago.

3:43.4

So, but the point being this, the Lakers could end up in the bottom five again.
