On Saturday at around 6.40 p.m., officers with the Atlanta Police Department responded to a liquor store on Metropolitan Parkway Southwest for a reported carjacking.

When responding officers arrived on the scene, they found a 70-year-old man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and were able to rush the victim to a trauma center for emergency treatment.

However, shortly after arrival, the victim was pronounced dead.

He was later identified as David Tuttle.

Once homicide detectives arrived at the scene, it wouldn't take them too long to get the suspected shooter into custody.

You see, a short while after detectives arrived and started investigating,

a man pulled into a nearby parking lot with his son in tow. The father told detectives that

he'd received some information from a family member that his son, 19-year-old at Jalen Mosley,

was believed to be at or near the liquor store when the shooting occurred. As it so happened, Jalen was identified on surveillance footage as the suspected shooter.

He was taken into custody and has since been charged with murder, aggravated assault,

armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm during the commission

of a felony. He's since been booked into the Fulton County Jail, where he's currently held without bond.

After Jalen's arrest, some of his immediate family members came forward and spoke with the media.
