Summary

Gene and Randall take a fascinating online journey exploring haunted houses with ghost hunter Jill Foote-Shelley, from St. Croix Paranormal. In addition to chasing ghosts, Jill will tell us about her purchase of the Boyd House, a dwelling with a history of paranormal activity. Jill says, “The more we go there the more the activity increases,” she says. St. Croix Paranormal investigates possible haunted places in the St. Croix Valley, which covers a wide area that includes in Minnesota, Wisconsin and surrounding areas. It was founded in 2010 by a group of volunteers who have the passion, knowledge and equipment to pursue the paranormal.

0:32.3	So, as you might expect, since this show will be broadcast on the 29th of December coming up off the holiday
0:41.3	weekend. Randall and I started discussing what we did for Christmas. Now, what Barbara and I did
0:48.8	was just have a meal. Takeout. All right? That was it. We took out from Boston Market.
0:56.0	That was our extravagant meal.
0:58.0	And we did it quietly.
1:00.0	You know, obviously there are vaguely comparable things to Hanukkah, but I won't get into the details.
1:07.0	What about you, Randall?
1:08.0	We did two Christmases, one on Christmas Eve with my family, and then my girlfriend's family
1:16.6	did it Christmas Day partly, so I went there.
1:19.6	So I had two really nice visits actually for Christmas with and felt a little more connected
1:26.6	with my family this year than the
1:30.5	past few years. And it was really good actually. Interesting you should mention the Hanukkah thing.
1:36.3	We got into talking a little bit about Judaism because one of the people said they'd had a DNA test
1:42.7	done and it showed that they were 20% Jewish.
1:47.4	So I said, I thought Judaism was a religion, not a race, you know, in terms of biology.
1:56.2	And that created a bit of a ruckus at the table for a few minutes, but I was rescued by my cousin
2:02.3	who changed the subject really quickly.
2:05.9	Well, there are characteristics of someone who is Jewish in the traditional sense, but I wouldn't
2:14.3	call it a race.
2:15.1	I would call it a religion, too.
