As we prepare for the holidays, though, there was a fascinating story that came on the press.

And this is an example of how expectations are quite often not realized in new stories.

So consider this.

NASA is going to have a press conference about some new discovery that might give us clues to ET, extraterrestrial life.

You know, really exciting.

I mean, they got first class coverage on the 24-7 news networks.

Now, when you first heard about this announcement, Chris, what were you expecting?

What did you think it was going to be?

Well, I thought maybe something had landed on the Kremlin front lawn there by Red Square or maybe the White House.

They were going to have some sort of mass descending object, a huge size land, and that the occupants are going to be taken to our

leaders. But no, that turned out not to be the case, Gene. It turned out that this was basically

a big disappointment. It wasn't quite what you expected to be. No. I guess like with all these things,

it was just too good to be true.

Okay, so let me paint the picture here.
