Summary

In roughly 37 hours, Georgians will cast the final votes of the 2022 midterms, deciding the Senate runoff between incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican football legend Herschel Walker. The two campaigns spent the final weekend very differently. Warnock continued his flood-the-zone strategy, with six events across the state, while Walker held just one public event, on Sunday with GOP Sens. Tim Scott (S.C.) and John Kennedy (La.). Playbook editor Mike DeBonis and deputy editor Zack Stanton preview the race in Georgia, Wednesday's SCOTUS case on the ‘independent legislature’ theory that could radically reshape elections and South Carolina's request to hold the first presidential primary on the calendar.  Subscribe to the POLITICO Playbook newsletter Raghu Manavalan is the Host and Senior Editor of POLITICO's Playbook Daily Briefing.Jenny Ament is the Executive Producer of POLITICO Audio.

his candidacy not only continue, but they seem to expand.

We've seen more women that he's been in relationships come forward with unfettering details about his personal behavior.

And, you know, the other thing here is just sort of the political atmosphere and the dynamics regarding the fact that the

majority in the Senate is is settled and the stakes are not quite as high as they were in the last

1:34.9

Georgia Senate runoff. Is that right, Zach? I think that's absolutely right. And, you know,

1:39.4

you noted that the majority isn't at stake at this point, which may not be something given his recent statements.

1:45.7

It's unclear whether or not Herschel Walker himself actually knows that.

1:48.2

He had an interview the other day that he gave where he suggested that control of the house was still undetermined.

1:55.0

It was just the latest in a series of flummixing remarks from Herschel Walker. I think the way that everyone here in
