into the mix. Here are your

Washington headlines for the day. Number one, a slow start to December. Number two,

updates on all the main legislative issues in front of Congress. And number three,

what House Republicans will focus on at their weekly meeting today. Let's get into it. Let's

get into the mix. So we sound like a broken record once

again, but in an amazingly busy month and Congress is off to a very, very, very slow start.

This is a volatile month, but quick moving in the sense that there are like 30 developments

a day and that's why you should be a premium subscriber to Punch Bull News. But just recapping everything

that's going on. Let's start with this. Government funding. We are just about, let's say,

three days from like the day after tomorrow, government funding runs out and neither chamber has voted on

a government funding bill. Now the House could do it today, but we haven't even seen the text

of this government funding bill yet. They want the two-side swap proposals. Republicans,

Democrats sent Republicans a counterproposal last night to extend

government funding until January 28th, which would give both parties almost two months to put together

a big spending bill to basically cover funding until until end of of September 2020. So the end of the fiscal year

next year. Republicans haven't accepted this proposal yet. They want the CR to run to at least

mid-February. They have different incentives here. So Republicans incentive. Democrats are
