So my name is Brandon Unruh, and I'm a psychiatrist and psychotherapist at McLean Hospital,

which is a freestanding psychiatric hospital located just outside of Boston in Massachusetts.

And for the last 10 years since finishing my training as a psychiatrist, I've been a specialist

in treating what are referred to within our field as personality disorders.

And my day job is that I run two different programs that deliver treatment for personality

disorders. In one of those jobs, I'm the medical director of the Gunderson

residence, which is named after John Gunderson, who was sort of the so-called parent of
