Well, the alternative is recognizing you've got a flawed system. I think one of the great weaknesses of the human species is we have this belief of a perfect world and you find it in every, you know, every culture has its Valhalla. Every society has this ideal world

where everything happens perfectly,

you know, the Garden of Eden, etc, etc.

It's something in our psyche to want something perfect. And what economic theory, neoclassical theory,

promise, was a perfect world on this planet.

So you get sucked into this belief in perfection.

And what Minsky is saying is get used to it.
