Summary

0:27.7	but when really looking over the whole entire episode,
0:31.0	there's this real big theme around doors and boundaries.
0:35.4	But first, before we get to that, for those of you who have not listened to
0:39.9	Celine's story yet, here is a summary of her story. For Celine around the age of eight, she was
0:47.3	removed from her home and placed into foster care after allegations were made against her father.
0:53.6	Her mother was pretty much absent from her
0:56.5	life, and Celine grew up carrying shame and rejection and feeling that she just wasn't wanted at
1:03.4	all. And she just wanted belonging and family and just a place that felt like home. And at 19,
1:15.3	Celine met the man who would become her husband as well as abuser while working in a warehouse.
1:17.1	And they connected over camping and fishing in the outdoors.
1:22.5	And this abuser told her that he was going through a divorce and portrayed his pregnant
1:27.2	wife at that time as
1:28.9	being manipulative and abusive. And after Celine became pregnant herself, Celine ends up moving
1:36.4	into the abuser's mother's home. And she really hoped that this could have been this family
1:42.2	that she wanted. But instead, what happened was Celine got into this house and then realized this family
1:49.8	system that was going on here is deeply amashed.
1:53.4	She used the term emotional incest that was going on.
1:56.6	Her husband's mother treated her as a threat, you know, criticized her spiritual beliefs.
