Welcome to Narcissist Apocalypse, everyone. I am Brandon Chadwick, and today we'll be doing a debrief of Natalie's Survivor's Story. And in this debrief, we will be doing the key takeaways of Natalie's story and the things that we want for her the most.

And for those of you who have not heard Natalie's story yet, here's a brief summary for you.

So Natalie grew up in a pretty stable and loving family.

And after leaving a long-term partnership with the mother of her children, Natalie then met a woman

through a community event, an LGBTQ community event. And this relationship started off intense

right away. And within days, Natalie was receiving constant messages, gifts, flowers, surprise visits,

declarations of love. Things moved really quickly. And Natalie, at this point, was already feeling

deeply seen, desired, and fully understood. And as this relationship continued, everything turned into control.

The abuser began criticizing Natalie's clothes, her hair, her car, her parenting, and everyday decisions.

And the abuser became angry when Natalie spent time with her children, her parents, her friends,

and expected to be placed above

everyone else. And this became very isolating. The abuser wanted to separate her and her children.

That was their goal. And Natalie's partner regularly was creating arguments, followed by silent

treatments, unanswered calls, and just a big emotional

withdrawal. For Natalie, going out with other people, created arguments. Natalie began then

changing her plans to avoid everything. After months of pressure, she even canceled a camping

trip with her children and parents because she was just too

exhausted from all of the resistance that was going on with everything. Her abuser also lied frequently,

invaded Natalie's privacy, and repeatedly portrayed herself as the victim in every conflict that

was going on.

And Natalie attempted to leave several times,

but her partner would return promising to change.
