| 0:29.1 | So Natalie grew up in a pretty stable and loving family. |
| 0:34.4 | And after leaving a long-term partnership with the mother of her children, Natalie then met a woman |

| 1:28.9 | everyone else. And this became very isolating. The abuser wanted to separate her and her children. |
| 1:35.6 | That was their goal. And Natalie's partner regularly was creating arguments, followed by silent |
| 1:43.0 | treatments, unanswered calls, and just a big emotional |
| 1:46.2 | withdrawal. For Natalie, going out with other people, created arguments. Natalie began then |
| 1:52.2 | changing her plans to avoid everything. After months of pressure, she even canceled a camping |
| 1:58.7 | trip with her children and parents because she was just too |
| 2:01.6 | exhausted from all of the resistance that was going on with everything. Her abuser also lied frequently, |
| 2:09.3 | invaded Natalie's privacy, and repeatedly portrayed herself as the victim in every conflict that |

| 2:22.6 | but her partner would return promising to change. |
