Costume designer Deborah Scott (AVATAR, TITANIC, DEFENDING YOUR LIFE) joins us in this episode of the Team Deakins Podcast. 1:14.0	We're pleased to welcome Deborah Scott. Deborah, thank you for doing this.
1:14.7	Yeah, hi.
1:21.7	Oh, my goodness, my pleasure. We'd love to ask you our first question, which is always, how did you get to where you are today?
1:29.5	Is this something that you always wanted to do? Were you dressing your dolls? Or did you find it after you decided to become a doctor? What was your path? Why film? I know. Why film? I think I was set on a course early on. My father
1:38.1	was a huge film buff. So I watched a lot of movies when I was growing up.
1:44.2	As a small child, we would go to the drive-in of all things because we couldn't always afford the theater.
1:49.8	So, you know, I got immersed in a lot of westerns.
1:53.9	Oh, boy, a lot of westerns.
1:55.5	So I loved that suspension of disbelief completely.
1:59.7	I started off as a theater major in college because
2:03.0	we didn't really have a film department then. And if there was, I wasn't really aware of it.
