And I stumbled on this one, a story of an amazingly bright and beloved young woman.

Back in episode 460 of Going West, we discussed the suspicious disappearance of Gretchen Fleming,

a 27-year-old who, in December of 2022, went missing from a bar in her West Virginia town after leaving with a man.

And in the episode, we very much discussed our massive suspicion of said man.

Well, guess what?

On May 15, 26, this month, 58-year-old Preston Pierce was arrested for her murder after Gretchen's remains were found.

Now, her remains were actually uncovered in Wirt County back in September of 2025,

but the testing took some time due to decomposition and were ultimately linked to her via genetic testing.
