All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is Jeff Glock.

I'm along with Jordan Bianchi.

We are motorsports writers here at the athletic, and we are one day removed from the final

motorsports Christmas ever, and we were at two of those races i'm here still at

the indy 500 i'm still at iMS right now jordan you are hopefully got some sort of rest after your

long night uh at charlotte motor speedway how are you doing this morning i'm doing well i don't

i mean i hope it's not the last motorsports christmas you know

hopefully the schedules align sometime in the near future where this all comes together again this

is always a celebration and it's fun to kind of see motorsports fans who often can be very divisive

and very territorial this feels like the one day of the year where everybody's kind of rooting

for everybody you know people who aren't formula where everybody's kind of rooting for everybody.

You know, people who aren't Formula One fans are kind of watching Formula One fans and getting

into it a little bit. Formula One fans are watching IndyCar at the Indy 500 or they're watching

the NASCAR race. Like, I like that. I miss it. It's a great opportunity. I think it's good for

motorsports. And I know how the schedules align for the near future. But hopefully someday this will work out again and we can do this because this is a good

thing for everybody.

Well, what I'm worried about is, you know, the rumors out there that F1, what if they go to

Montreal on Memorial Day weekend and go head to head with Indy?

That will be.

The arrogance of running exactly head to head at the same time as Indy 500 in North America.
