And we are New Yorkers who love Baltimore.

Yes.

I went to school outside of, in the DMV, let's say, in the DMV.

Baltimore was always in, I went to school in Arlington, Virginia, but just, you know, 45 minutes

away from Baltimore, frequented there, the inner harbor, all the good things, didn't come across infestations, rodents, rats, or people screaming at me and saying, my life is terrible.

I'm only waiting for a white savior with a long red tie to come and save me from my hopelessness.

Didn't come across that in my time.

Didn't find that.

I spent a long week there after the uprising, after Freddie Gray's killing covering that for MSNBC.

I saw the whole city and it's a microcosm of America.

There's some rough ghettos that are going through some tough times and some beautiful

areas just like America.

And Trump tries to lay the problems on like the character of the people.

Like if you're black, you can't run a city and doesn't deal with the war on drugs, gentrification, institutional racism.

We were in an area near Pennsylvania.

And I remember the store had like no fruit and vegetable.

And I asked this sister, where do you go for fruits and vegetables?

And she was like, well, if you take like two buses and like just what impact

is that going to have on people over time? That's not the problem of the people in the community.
