that they say could impact the 2024 election.

The two main professional organizations of election officials in all 50 states say there are widespread

problems with the US Postal Service's ability to distribute and collect mail-in

ballots and it comes as early voting is set to begin this month.

The two groups wrote an open letter to the US Postmaster General,

telling him to immediately take action to fix these issues,

and saying so far, there has not been enough improvement

to address their concerns.

Mailin voting has become more popular since the pandemic, but these officials say there have

been delivery failures specifically over the last year, even disrupting voting during this year's primaries.
