Death

Just hearing that word, it could either wake you up or make you extremely uncomfortable.

Death is inevitable.

It's something that's both captivated and terrified humans throughout history.

It's a universal equalizer.

It happens at some point to everyone.

In science, it's simple.

Death is an irreversible stopping of your vital functions.

In religion, it can mean several other things.

Some people believe in reincarnation.

What you'll come back as, it can be another person or sometimes an animal.

Others may believe there's a full and everlasting afterlife complete with the possibility

of the grandness of heaven or the most horrid in hell.

Or, if you don't believe in any of that, I guess someone or something just flips your

off switch and there's no turning it back on. Your passage to any of those I mentioned also

varies widely. Traditions that surround death and the

passing of your soul, they can depend widely on your local cultures or religions, being buried

in a coffin, cremated in your ashes held by a loved one, or strung about a favorite place

of yours.

That's what's likely normal for you and me.
