Hey, I want to welcome those of you joining us from all over the country, all over the world.

It's so exciting to be a part of a growing number of people who put their faith in Jesus,

but understand doing is what makes the difference, and we've learned to be followers and not just believers.

As you know, we're approaching Easter.

And so as we approach Easter over these next two weekends, I thought it would be a great thing to do to follow Jesus as he approached Easter to get us ready.

So that's what we're going to do.

Now, if you're not a religious person or you're from a different faith tradition, or maybe you would say, well, I used to be a Christian, I'm not a Christian anymore.

Maybe you never have been.

And somebody's making you watch this or maybe you're in one of our churches today,

you're going to find yourself, or you might find yourself actually cheering for Jesus as Jesus

approaches Easter, just kind of a heads up.

And then for the rest of us who are consider ourselves Christians and Jesus followers,

we're going to cheer Jesus on as well.

But then there's kind of a gotcha.

And when we get to the gotcha, if you're a Christian, he gotcha.

And if you're not a Christian, you can kind of step back and be like, I'm kind of glad I'm not one of you because that's a lot.

Okay?

So that's where we're going for the next few minutes so Matthew and mark who are two of the

gospel writers both bring us the following event and events from the life of jesus and then we

pick up with john's account a little bit later on so jesus and his 12 apostles they're

walking together they're headed to a synagogue and they take a shortcut through a wheat field or

grain field and um it's a Sabbath.
