Hello. Good evening. Death Sex and Money. I just finished listening to the program with Joanne, where she was talking about aging. My daughter sent me a podcast about getting older. And she kept saying, did you listen? Did you listen? And so I listened tonight. And I see why she sent it to me.

So you want to know about aging? Okay, I'll tell you it's not all that fun. It's a great time of life.

I don't usually feel old at all.

But as I belly flop into 70. I much prefer to say, oh, I'm older. I just turned 65. I can't believe it. I don't feel like it. I feel like I'm about 10 unless my arthritis kicks up and then I feel about 100. It's almost as if I can't experience pleasure anymore, which is, again, just wild to me. I can't even wrap my head around it.

I sure as hell wouldn't want to be in my 20s.

At the start of 2020, a listener we're calling Laura moved to a new city by herself.

She's 67, like me, and she had big hopes for the next chapter of her life.

she had a big health scare. And then the pandemic hit. I mean, that picture that's out there was out there until COVID was that, you know, you're going to reinvent yourself in these

fulfilling time. And I don't think it really is for everybody.

It never occurred to me that I wasn't invincible or vulnerable because I had taken really good care of myself.

So I was just programmed to think that I was going to start another chapter of my life.
