And I'm Jessica Vasami. On Tuesday, January 24th,

1989, notorious serial killer Ted Bundy was scheduled for death by electric chair, aka Old Sparky,

after sitting on death row for 10 years. Set to take place at the Florida State Prison, the execution drew crowds outside,

hundreds chanting in favor of and celebrating Bundy's final hours, while mourning the 36 victims who died at Bundy's depraved hand. Per the state of Florida, a condemned prisoner is granted a last

meal, and, despite the horrors of his crimes, Bundy was no exception.

However, unlike most condemned prisoners, Ted Bundy declined a meal.

Still, it's customary, so upon refusal of a special meal, Bundy was given the standard meal of steak, eggs, toast, and hash browns around 450 a.m.

He didn't eat any of it.

At 7 a.m., Ted Bundy was led to the electric chair.

At 7.16 a.m., he was declared dead by electrocution.
