Okay my friends, if you have followed me for any period of time, you know that I love talking about death and regret.

Happy stuff, right? Well, yeah, in fact it is, you know, because death is coming for all of us.

It has a 100% success rate, as the old joke tells us, and I love going to cemeteries, like I love by a graveyard when I drive by a graveyard I always want to like pause stop breathing in

Because I know that that is inevitable right like that is a future for all of us

So why can't it be this appropriate thing that we discuss why is it something that's like shh don't talk about that's really uncomfortable if you've lived on us for enough years, you'll also know that we lose people, right?

We grieve.

I lost my dad when I was 19 to his drug and alcohol addiction

Right like we are familiar with loss as humans. It is part of the human experience

I mean this should make us love each other wildly shouldn't it the fact that this is coming for everybody that like death is like life's greatest equalizer we are all equal here

We're all going to the same place we all come from the same place. But in life it's so easy to get distracted, right? It's so easy to go, oh well, you know,

hmm, you know, I've got all this time. You don't know that, right? When people think, you know, I've got this time or I've got to make time, it's like, you can't, right? Like, your time is fixed, you can't look under a rock and get more time, right?

Whenever I even just contemplate life, of course it's wonderful to enjoy things and people

and experiences and even possessions,

but you enter this world with nothing

and you leave with nothing, right?

You come out naked, a baby, and you leave

to be cremated or buried, largely.

So it's not what you acquire in the period that lasts, right?

It's not what you own.

It's none of those things that we place such value on. It's how we spend our time. Time is the resource, time is the thing, time is the whole enchilada, as Abraham Hicks would say. It's like, this moment is your life. Life is in session, I love to say. And I also love speaking about regret, right?
