Hayden and I said goodnight to Chubby and went into the sun porch where we sleep.

I thought it was a hemorrhage as I could not see any gun. I yelled to Bill to get a doctor, then I got a sponge and started to wash the blood off Hayden.

Meanwhile, Bill was phoning for a doctor. Then I looked and saw the barrel of a gun

sticking out from under his leg. I pulled it out about an inch from the barrel. Bill was still phoning,

and I ran downstairs to see if the doctor had gotten there. The doctor was not in sight,

so I phoned Dr. Dieter. The ambulance arrived, and I told him we had a doctor on the way over.

Dr. Dieter didn't get there, so I phoned Mr. Houston, the lawyer, to come over and bring a doctor.
