Hey everybody and welcome to another episode of death by where contestants will earn reps for their arguments for a chance to stand on top of the podium pedestal.

Whoever I decide has the best argument through the final round will earn 30 seconds to talk about a topic of their choosing.

On today's episode we have Cross Fit Semi-finals athlete, A Leah Miller, owner of Brute Strength, Matt Torres, and our very own Tommy

death by. Topic number one. A handful of athletes are in the process of applying for competition region exemptions

if an athlete resides in a region outside of their country of citizenship and they believe that they may advance to the in-person

semi-final stage, they can petition Cross-fit for an exemption to be placed in a different competition

region.

The most notable example currently in the news

Ellie Turner who requested to compete in North America rather than Australia her

country of citizenship was denied But looking at the bigger picture should

cross-fit do away with regions for semifinals and if so what is a better format?

Matt Torres we are going to let you start round one.

So I think that the regional format is good for the fans that want to, you know,

cheer on the athletes that live in their country. I think where they fall short on this is are the top 40 men and women in the world making it to the cross the game.

So this is the part that I'm saying they need to improve upon.

So it doesn't matter if they want to make it a spectacle and

get athletes in the regionals, great.

But the real question becomes, you know, is countries or confidence like Asia and Africa are they bringing and helping us to decide who the top 40 men and women are.

So in short, it doesn't matter to me if they do it.

I think they need to make it easier on these athletes.
