Welcome to our daily Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We're approaching the great feast of our Lord Jesus Christ King of the universe. This marks the end of the church year and the beginning of the

new year with the first Sunday of Advent.

And this is traditionally the time when the church reflects on

what we call the last things.

Death, our particular judgment, purgatory, hell, the end of the world, the

resurrection of the body, the last judgment, and the new heavens and the new earth. So today we begin to learn and meditate on these from the

catechism. And we begin with our death. Now death is not a bad thing. In fact because of Jesus Christian

death has a positive meaning as St Paul said for to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

And Teresa of Avalon wrote, I want to see God and in order to see Him I must die.

And Terez the little flower said, I am not dying.

I am entering life.

And in the spiritual classic The Imitation of Christ we read,

every action of yours, every thought, should be those of one who expects to die before the day is out.

Death would have no great terrace for you if you had a quiet conscience then why not keep clear of

sin instead of running away from death if you aren't fit to face death today, it's very unlikely you will be tomorrow.

Our Father who art in heaven, Hallow would be your name, Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead
