Once again, and as always, I am your host, Mallory Ortberg, also known as Dear Prudence.

With us in the studio today is a guest.

I'm very excited about who's actually also physically with us in the studio today,

which doesn't always happen and is very exciting to me personally. We'll get to that in just a minute. But first, I have been trapped by a phrase of my own making. Recently, I finished my book,

which was very exciting and I sort of realized at this point, I had no place to put all these jokes that often come into my head.

So I decided to start a newsletter called the Shatner-Chatner.

That's mostly about my feelings about William Shatner, which are myriad and beautiful.

And the second issue was supposed to go out last week, but it got flagged for abuse because it repeatedly uses the phrase, Captain James T. Kirk is a
