Hello dear listeners, this is V from Snuescast. Just letting you know that I am recovering and feeling a lot better after a bad case of flu and pneumonia, which I had never had before, and is really fun. Thank you so much to everyone that's written in with well wishes for me. I really appreciate it. While I was feeling really sick, I also was feeling really down and sad thinking about how fragile our health is and how precious our lives are. Even if our lives are hard, it's really hard. Sometimes the things that I was really missing while I was so sick was spending time with my family family and Thinking about how that was to me. The reason I'm selling you this is not to be a bummer, but a good thing that's come from being so sick is it made me really re-evaluate what I do to take care of myself.

When I saw the doctor today, he reassured me that this has been a particularly virulent year for the flu and that there is lots of, you know, otherwise healthy adults not only really severe cases of the flu, but also pneumonia, more than you would normally see, and just more cases of pneumonia in general. So it's not like there's something terribly wrong with me that this also happened. With that being said, when I was being really honest with myself and evaluating the way I was living and feeling before I got sick, even before I got this, I wasn't feeling good, even though I was technically okay, I wasn't feeling good for a long time. Just feeling run down, always run down, exhausted, always pushing myself to the limit for the sake of productivity. And that's what's going to change. It's not going to change anything related to snoozecast. I'm just sharing with you a little bit that I'm excited. One of the little changes is that being so sick this last week, I haven't had any caffeine this whole time and it's been really kind of nice actually. I feel so even killed. I before was just a caffeine addict just couldn't never get enough. Always needing to be jolting myself awake. And I don't wanna do that to my body anymore. I'm too old for that. So anyway, I just want to let you know that I really appreciate your patience while we've been off line this week. I know it started a little bit earlier than this week. And we haven't forgotten about recording episodes, and we want to get back to it ASAP. Funny enough, right before I got sick, we had done an interview with a reporter who had reached out after our thousandth episode, who'd interviewed us in the past like five years ago.

And we were bracketing to her about how we've never missed an episode. We may have been late, but we've always done three episodes a week. And then of course, right after that that publishes is when for the first time it actually happens.

So I think that we'll be back online on Monday, for the Monday episode, and we're just going to start fresh if you don't mind, rather than trying to somehow record the backup, because my voice is still shot, and I'm trying not to cough right now. I'm just recording this on my phone. If the audio quality sounds the way it does, anyway. I really care about all of my listeners and I hope you you're all doing well, and taking care of yourself,
