We're picking up with day six of our wisdom for work

from the Psalms devotion on the Bible app.

And as always, I'm going to read the scripture, then Tori's going to pick with the Devo.

Let's do it.

The scripture is Psalms, chapter 116 versus 7 through 12, and they say this, let my soul be at rest again,

for the Lord has been good to me.

He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, and so I walk in the

Lord's presence as I live here on Earth.

I believed in you, so I said, I am deeply troubled deeply troubled Lord in my anxiety I cried out to you

these people are all liars what can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me?

The devotional says this. A friend of mine was watching a kid play his

heart out on the basketball court even though his team was up 20 points. After the game my friend

asked the boy why he was hustling so hard when victory was

guaranteed. The kid's response was perfect because I love my coach. That's a pretty

good picture of what David is getting at in Psalm 116. In verse 7, David instructs his soul to rest. Why? Because the Lord has been good to him.

As we express gratitude for the things God has already done in and through our work,
