I don't have to accept the fact that I'll probably never see him again but, but the deal is a sort of a real lack of his community of friends kind of getting a chance to

more than him as a group, right, which would normally happen in this kind of circumstance because it became this sort of a more

fuss thing that just sort of drifted away. It wasn't there was nothing clear about it. I think that that for me is in something that's really difficult as time goes on right

to that lack of motion. I know you hear that so much obviously, but first of all, I've ever had to do it. And then I kind of, I guess, see them

before I really hear that. I'm not a real, we just want closure. I guess that's the first time I kind of really understand what that means to people, right?

It feels kind of like we're, you know, to underneath this all and her ink, what he meant to us all because we haven't been able to do that for

them. We haven't all been able to get together and talk about how wonderfully was an elementary love to them now.

You know, what a great person he was and just sort of just kind of fraction apart and then now there's just pieces, right?

On October 22, 2013, 44-year-old Dean Morrison was let go from his painting job at a ranch, Southeast of Camloops, British Columbia.

His truck wasn't working properly and Dean seemed out of sorts, so his boss offered to call a tow truck for him that morning and asked him to find a ride home.

Sometime between the time the tow truck was called and its arrival several hours later, Dean disappeared. In the six years that have passed since that day, Dean has not been seen or heard from again.

By all accounts, Dean Morrison was a great father, son, and friend. He had recently been dealing with several unexpected challenges, including separating from his wife and only being allowed supervised visits with his three children.

But he was looking forward to getting his own place and starting over. When we started working on this story, we wanted to know what Dean's earlier life was like to try to get a picture of his personality. So we spoke with his mom Elizabeth about his childhood.
