Good morning. Today is Tuesday, October 7th. I'm Julie Morgan. Retailers are rolling out the holiday deals.

Novo Nordisk is scaling back and Apple Oven has reportedly landed on the SEC's radar.

The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event is here, October 7th and 8th, in an early kickoff to the holiday shopping season.

The e-commerce giant said Prime members will find offers on most loved toy brands, including Fisher Price and Tonys,

electronics from Samsung and LG, and home and kitchen appliances from brands like Dyson and

Ninja. The company also said there will be more exclusive deals than ever before.

Amazon's October event originated in 2022 as an exclusive October shopping event for prime members and has since become an annual fixture,

serving as a fall equivalent to the original Prime Day in July.

Of course, when one major retailer has an event, the competition falls in line.

Target Circle Week started two days ago on the

5th and continues through the 11th. The Bullseye retailer is offering 40% of daily deals. And Walmart

can't be left out of the action. Walmart deals runs October 7 through 12th. You can also find

discounts at other retailers, including Coles and Best Buy.

Adobe is forecasting that despite these early online shopping promotions in October, Cyber Monday

on December 1st is still expected to remain the biggest online shopping day of the season.

With a projected tally of $14.2 billion,

up 6.3% year over year.

Novo Nordisk has laid off dozens of employees at the largest U.S. manufacturing site for its

obesity and diabetes drugs.

A Reuters review of posts on LinkedIn showed that the
