Ah, the Nanny State. Term I haven't heard much of since, the 1990s yet today the nanny state a

government that wants to control your life from cradle of grave is alive and well

how should we the people deal with this tyrannical government idea

hello there everyday Americans Paul Engel here with the Constitution study where we read and study

the Constitution teacher as a generation be free glad you could join me today. Again, this idea of the

Nian states, kind of the term has fallen out of vote, but I think it really accurately describes

well, so much of the country today. At so many levels, this desire, this lust to control how other people live, and the belief that,

well, government can do it just better than anybody else. This desire to control our lives is,

as I said, alive and well. And I want to take a look, not just to add a couple of examples,

but I want to look a little more at how we deal.

We, the people, deal with this attempt by government to, well, basically regulate our lives.

Now, commissioners in Lake County, Florida, adopted a, quote, unquote, Bill of Rights

ordinance. Now, this got my attention for a couple reasons. I was just in Lake County, Florida, adopted a quote-unquote Bill of Rights ordinance.

Now, this got my attention for a couple of reasons.

I was just in Lake County a couple of weeks ago, giving the keynote at the Lake County chapter of the Constitution Party's event down there.

So that got my attention.

Of course, whenever someone says Bill of Rights, my ears perk up because,

well, to be honest, that term is often abused in today's day and age. But the county passed an ordinance trying to protect the rights of citizens from unconstitutional mandates, statutes,

or decrees, either from D.C. or from Tallahassee.
