| 0:34.3 | The first question we're going to answer is, how do you know if spider mites are attacking |

| 0:40.5 | Well, it's pretty simple. |
| 0:42.4 | If your plants start to turn yellow in patches or you notice super fine |
| 0:47.0 | spider webs all over it, but you can't see any actual spiders, well you might be at war with the dreaded spider mites. |
| 0:58.2 | And interestingly enough, spider mites are not insects. |
| 1:01.9 | They are actually a type of arachnid that are closely related to spiders |
| 1:06.1 | and ticks. Now the reason you can't see them is usually because they are extremely small. |

| 1:14.9 | They cause the underside of leaves to appear dusty, but if you look very, very closely, |
| 1:20.0 | you'll see that that dust is actually moving and that dust is spider mites. |
| 1:26.2 | The second question, what are the different types of spider mites? |
| 1:30.1 | Well the most common one you will deal with internationally is the two spotted spider mite. |
| 1:36.0 | These are also known as red spider mites. |
| 1:38.6 | And they're found in fields, orchards, greenhouses, yards and gardens, and even in indoor hydroponic growing environments. p spots on either side of their bodies. |
