All right, well, so here we are. And we've been kind of talking about the family. And you know what I thought of Lisa?

It was 50 years ago this year that my 14 year old sister died. And I was seven years old at the time. So I guess I told everybody I'm 57 years old.

Honey, are you trying to hide that because you look really great for that age?

Thank you, sweetheart.

I think you need to be hiding that.

I made my day with that statement. But anyway, that was really roughly so I cried.

My mom and I just talked about it recently, of course, because it was 50 years. I cried.

I cried and cried for four days. And my mom said, how could you, how could that have been different for you?

Well, I didn't have an understanding of Jesus, of eternity, of what happens in death.

It wasn't something we talked about as a family. I just remember being called home from school.

I was in the first grade at the time and they called me out and being driven home and the Catholic priest was sitting in the living room.

And he said, your sister's dead.

That's all he said.

Well, basically in a little nicer way. But did you know that was...

I didn't know. It was a total shock. I knew there was serious. They had around oxygen tent at home her last couple days.

But I didn't... I thought she would live. I mean, I wasn't prepared for it.

So that's probably why I cried for four days. But also she was my very closest sister.

And my mom said to me the other day, she said, I just remember you stepping up on the neiler in the funeral home saying,

I like Kathy better alive than dead.

And I just want to...
