We are awaiting this past conference from the officials here following this tragic

breaking news out of Kansas City, Missouri, the shooting that we have been covering all

afternoon for you.

As mentioned, and we'll go through the numbers the facts as we have them one person

confirmed killed

eleven children treated for injuries at this hour

based on what we're hearing and we expect to get more from

this camera shot is of where we expect the officials to gather as they did in an earlier

briefing today.

The shooting occurred near the end of the Kansas City Chiefs official Super Bowl parade,

what was supposed to be a happy and unifying occasion.

Police say they've detained two individuals who were armed for further investigation.

They've also stipulated that the shooting took place at this garage which was situated near the

city's main train station.

Investigators are not saying at this time that is based on what they know and we've had many

guests and experts discuss how these events are covered and how we get

information as we go but as of this hour those investigators on behalf of

the local government do not think this was a terrorism or targeted hate crime event.

That's three law enforcement officials who've been briefed on the case relaying that
